The MTS Services Group has undergone a restructure, with its London branch closing and all operations being moved to Northampton.

Motor Trade Selection, the group’s original recruitment business, has been in London for 38 years. David Ford, managing director, describes the move as 'exciting times'.

Two people decided not to relocate and, so far, three new appointments have been made.

Chris Carey is MTS’s new director of relationship development, Cathy Norton is human resources support services manager and Pippa Inglis is customer account manager.

"The cost of maintaining a London base no longer makes sense when we can centralize all functions in Northampton," says Ford.

"This move is an important step in the group’s development."

The group is also working on developing a complete range of technological recruitment solutions to use in the motor industry.

Guy Liddall, product development director at MTS Services Group, is overseeing the work. “We have to take tough decisions to develop,” he says.

“The creative use of robust technology is the future for recruitment. I took us onto the web in 1995 and it transformed our business. Our new developments will take it to a new level.”
