Jaguar has revealed its 2008 Model Year tweaked S-type at the Bolgna Motor Show today.

While it may be difficult to distinguish the old S-type from the revised edition, Jaguar assures that the exterior has had some tweaks.

The main changes lie with specification and prices. The line-up has been simplified to four trim levels: the Spirit, XS, SE and R.

The revamped range gains sporting R bumper and mesh grille. A multi-spoke 17-inch Antares wheel is now standard on the least expensive models, while all SE versions now feature the 18-inch Triton alloy wheel.

The limited edition XS model has also replaced the existing S-type Sport model with an exterior styling pack, sport interior and 18-inch Mercury wheels. At the top-of-the-range, the S-type R now comes with a 19-inch wheels as standard.

The S-type’s interior is also upgraded, with the introduction of multi-function seats with non-perforated leather. The entry-level cars now come with Jaguar’s six-speed automatic transmission, leather seats and a leather-trimmed steering wheel as standard.

A new ivory and charcoal leather colour combination is also available for SE models. Rear park assist has become standard on all models.
