Ford, Vauxhall and Peugeot are among the 29 car manufacturers who have committed to exhibiting at the British International Motor Show taking place in London in July.

IMIE, the show's organisers say that a second wave of exhibitors will be announced in due course.

Marketing director, Kirsty Adams, said: "We are still in discussion with other key players and are assured that the London show will grab headlines with a host of world premieres."

The British International Motor Show has also secured a new title sponsor. Lloyds TSB Insurance is to partner the show in a deal worth £1 million making the insurance company the show's first ever non-media partner.
