Just Car Clinics, the UK’s second largest accident repair group, has restructured its regional management team in preparation for an expansion drive this year.

The £25m turnover company has redefined its Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire divisions into eastern, western and southern regions, headed by respective regional support managers Paul Waites, Ian Crowther and David Hadfield.

Chief executive Barry Whittles plans to add at least three more sites to his 13 bodyshop business before the end of 2006, either through acquisitions or developing Greenfield sites.

“The changes are an important stage in our growth and development strategy and we are now actively looking to identify new sites outside our existing catchment area which offer the right opportunities for our business,” he adds.

Whittles wants the new sites to be between 30 and 50 miles from existing JCC centres to prevent both inter-competition and fragmentation of the business.

The new structure also includes a number of promotions and transfers of staff. Waites has also been made general manager of the company’s Doncaster site, and Rob Winter has become general manager of its Scunthorpe bodyshop.

In Sheffield, Mick Green replaces Paul Wrigglesworth as general manager of the Woodbourne Road bodyshop, as Wrigglesworth has transferred to head JCC’s other site in Sutherland Street.

Just Car Clinics’ Wakefield bodyshop recently came top in the company’s customer satisfaction survey for 2005, scoring an overall satisfaction rating of 85.1%. Some 1,200 customers from across all branches were asked by an independent research company to rate the repair experience, from the friendliness of the staff to whether their vehicle was repaired to schedule.

Whittles says the business has seen satisfaction levels improve significantly across the group.

Communication and progress updates with customers have improved noticeably since JCC launched its In Touch initiative last year, which put added focus on both internal and external communication and service levels.
