Maserati GB announces new management

Maserati GB Ltd is the new name for the importer of Maserati cars in the UK.

It will carry on operating from its premises in Slough, where Ferrari GB Ltd is also based.

Andrea Antonnicola is named as the managing director of Maserati GB Ltd. In 1994 he joined Ferrari from Mercedes-Benz Retail Italy as Far East area manager, then was appointed general manager for Ferrari Maserati of San Francisco in 1998, before arriving in the UK in 2003 as sales and marketing director for Ferrari Maserati UK.

The new structure for the Maserati import company includes a new head of marketing, Mike Biscoe, head of sales Peter Denton and head of finance Robert Smeeton, together with head of communications Silvia Pini, sales and marketing co-ordinator Anna De Luca and the aftersales department headed by John Kemp.

Biscoe has worked for Toyota Europe as brand and communications strategy manager for the past three years and before he was communications manager for Alfa Romeo in Turin and brand manager for Alfa Romeo UK.

Denton had spent 15 years with Porsche GB in various sales management roles, while John Kemp has been working for Ferrari and Maserati in the UK for 13 years, joining Maranello Concessionaires in 1993 after working for Porsche GB for 23 years.

Smeeton arrives from the dealer group William Jacks, where he was formerly group financial controller.
