Over 220 dealerships from across the UK entered the programme and were assessed over the course of a year on their performance in four key areas: product knowledge, technical training, mystery shop (both telephone and walk-in) and an aftersales marketing campaign.
Dealerships were awarded points based on how they performed in each task. Bonus points were also awarded for displaying exceptional levels of customer service and know-how in any given area. At the end of the year seven dealerships with the most points were treated to a VIP trip to Rome where the overall winner, Caledonia Fiat in Preston, was announced.
Keith Armstrong, service manager at Caledonia Preston, said: “Being named Aftersales Distinction Dealer of the year is a great result for the Caledonia team which has worked extremely hard over the last year. "The team demonstrates a dedication and commitment to aftersales excellence, service and expertise that is second to none. Because of this we have achieved this prestigious accolade. Well done to everyone.”
