Mazda UK has reached a record sales high in March with sales of 10,100 vehicles for the month.

The March sales figures also give Mazda a new record for the first quarter of this year with total sales of 15,994 sales for the period. This contrasts with Mazda sales in 2001 when the Japanese marque sold 15,800 for the full year.

"This is a great result for Mazda and our dealers and an indication of the growing popularity of Mazda in the UK," said Jeremy Thomson, sales director Mazda Motors UK.

"To hit over 15,800 sales in the first three months of the year, more than we sold in a full year in 2001, really shows how fast we have grown and how popular the Mazda marque has become in just five years.

We have a number of exciting product introductions over the next 12 months and expect Mazda to continue its successful growth in the UK," said Thomson.
