CRM and loyalty programmes are transforming the way many businesses interact with their customers, and at the industry’s annual convention, autoretailing 06, Vauxhall chairman Jonathan Browning, who is also head of marketing for GM Europe, will deliver a keynote presentation on how they can help to unlock dealer profitability in the motor trade.

Brought to the industry by AM magazine and the Retail Motor Industry Federation, autoretailing 06 is dedicated to helping professional, pro-active motor retailers become more successful – by selling more cars and retaining more customers.

The convention opens on June 7 with a conference for senior executives and features some outstanding speakers. They include Lyell Strambi, the COO of Virgin Atlantic Airways, Simon Gulliford, a former Honda dealer and group marketing director at Barclays plc, Paul Flatters, of The Future Foundation, Sue Brownson OBE of Bluebell BMW/Mini, David Carter of Carter & Carter, Max Warburton of UBS and John Whiteman of the International Car Distribution Programme.

In addition, the conference will include a highly motivational workshop session on turning prospects into buyers. Special guest speaker David Martin was one of the outstanding presenters at the 2006 NADA Convention, according to UK dealers who went there, and at autoretailing 06 he will be offering other UK dealers a fresh perspective on one of the major challenges facing the industry today.

On June 8, delegates can attend up to five profit-boosting workshops throughout the day – in sales, aftersales and general management. Lead by recognised experts in their field, the workshops are designed to help dealership managers become more successful by offering clear, impartial guidelines in key operational areas and focusing on practical solutions.
