The first pictures of Vauxhall’s all-new Corsa supermini, which is due to go on sale later this year, have been revealed.

Longer and wider than the current model, the Corsa also has a longer wheelbase and wider track to create more interior space.

Five engine options will be offered initially – 1.0, 1.2 and 1.4-litre petrols and two turbodiesels, including an all-new 123bhp 1.7-litre CDTi unit. Technology on the new car will include adaptive front lights and a new infotainment system which includes MP3 compatibility and Bluetooth telephone connectivity.

Prices and specifications will be announced closer to the official launch in autumn.
