Allianz Cornhill to take 5,000 credit hire vehicles from CCL

Credit hire and claims services group CCL UK has secured a three-year contract with Allianz Cornhill, representing about 5,000 vehicle hires per year.

The contract means that car drivers in non-fault accidents will now be supplied courtesy cars from CCL, reducing the burden on bodyshops.

It also means Allianz Cornhill will adopt CCL’s online vehicle management system, VMD.

CCL sales and marketing director Austin Snelgrove says VMD will provide cost savings and operational benefits for Cornhill, and he hopes to sign up more insurers.

Philip Brailey, Allianz Cornhill motor damage supplier manager, says CCL was chosen for its “excellent customer focus as well as the cultural fit with Allianz Cornhill”.

The announcement follows a reshuffle of CCL management. Chairman and chief executive Will Snelgrove has handed day-to-day control of the business to Barrie Hobbs, who joined the group last summer to undertake a strategic review.

Snelgrove will continue as executive chairman on a part-time basis. Joanna Dawson moves into the role of business change director, including HR responsibilities.

Mike Davis joins the board as finance director, and Jean-Marie Lauzier and Adrian Hayter continue in their respective roles of legal director and fleet director.
