A Shropshire car component maker has unveiled plans to create new jobs after winning a multi-million pound contract with Volvo.

A year after the collapse of MG Rover, Cobra Automotive UK has shrugged off the impact of losing 25 per cent of its annual turnover to land the biggest contract in its history.

The £5 million order from Volvo will quadruple the size of the business and has the potential to create more than 28 highly-skilled jobs in the process.

It comes as the company puts the finishing touches to plans for a move to larger premises at Nesscliffe.
