Swindon-based fleet and fuel management company Arval says its decision to restructure its accident management services is not a direct result of losing its Liverpool Victoria contract to WNS Assistance.

A member of the PHH Arval Global Alliance and backed by BNP Paribas, Arval offers a range of products covering contract hire, fleet management, fuel management, leasing, personal motoring schemes, accident management, breakdown recovery and short term hire.

The company says its decision to reshape its accident management activities is a result of wanting to effectively focus on core services for its corporate customers and to ensure the highest product and service levels.

A spokesman for Arval tells AM: “Arval will no longer provide accident management services for third party customers, which include Liverpool Victoria. Arval is to transfer all of its third party business to a dedicated external accident management supplier. The majority of Arval employees, currently employed in accident management services at Arval, will transfer employment to this new supplier. Arval will assist in the smooth transfer of this business.”

In addition, Arval has made the decision to work with a dedicated accident management supplier for its own corporate customer base. The company says it firmly believes that this new arrangement will offer its customers an enhanced service and better value for money.

Based in Ipswich, Suffolk, WNS Assistance is a specialist insurance business outsourcing service provider for insurers, international brokers and corporate clients. At the time of going to press, WNS was unable to comment on the situation, as it is currently bound by a confidentiality agreement.
