The BMW Group (BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce) increased its sales by 11% to 447,819 units in the first four months of this year.

In April, the number of deliveries grew by 3.2% to 114,885 vehicles (111,325 the previous year).

BMW sold 382,855 vehicles from January to April, a 15.2% increase on last year.

The strongest sales were of the 3-series saloon, with 114,018 vehicles sold.

Mini sales dropped in the first four months of this year, as planned by BMW. It had to expand its Oxford plant’s operations to meet demand for the Mini, expanding to an annual capacity of 240,000 units. Mini sales dropped by 8.7% from 70,950 to 64,806 vehicles.

Rolls-Royce sales were also down to 158 sales, compared to 182 in the period to the end of April this year.
