Peugeot has started production of its 307 sedan model at the group’s plant in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The plant was inaugurated today by Jean-Martin Folz, chairman of PSA Peugeot Citroen. The ceremony was attended by Nestor Kirchner, president of Argentina.

The 307 Sedan is the fifth model to be produced at the Buenos Aires plant, where the Peugeot 206, 307 hatchback, Partner and the Citroen Berlingo are already manufactured.

The new car will be introduced in Argentina in July and gradually rolled out in Brazil and other Latin American markets by October. The full-year sales target is 22,000 units across the region.
