Visteon managers are expected to hold new talks with 600 workers at the company’s Swansea Jersey Marine components plant this week, after confirmation of its future after two weeks of talks with union representatives failed to come to a conclusion last Friday.

Unions rejected last month a plan involving a wage freeze, pay cuts, pension scheme changes and fewer holidays in an attempt to safeguard the long-term future of Swansea and Visteon’s three other UK sites in Belfast, Enfield and Basildon.
