General Motors is to appoint three executives on August 1 to lead its operations in Korea, Canada and Mexico.

  • Michael Grimaldi, who has been president and general manager of GM of Canada since January 2002, was appointed president and CEO of GM Daewoo Auto & Technology. He will succeed and report to Nick Reilly, who was recently appointed as GM group vice president and president of GM Asia Pacific.

  • Arturo Elias, president and managing director of GM de Mexico since March 2001, will replace Grimaldi as president and managing director of GM of Canada. He will report to Troy Clarke, GM group vice president and president of GM North America.

  • Kevin Williams, who has been assistant managing director and manufacturing director of GM de Mexico since June 2005, will replace Elias as president and managing director. He also will report to Clarke.
