Skoda’s 10 millionth vehicle, a silver Octavia Combi Elegance 2.0 TDI, has rolled off production lines in the Czech Republic, acting as a manufacturing milestone for the company, which has been producing cars for over 100 years.

The car was donated to ‘Czech Centres’, a government-funded organisation that is part of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

  • Skoda’s first car was manufactured in Mladá Boleslav in 1905 when Václav Laurin and Václav Klement decided to stop producing bicycles and motorcycles and make automobiles instead. The first model produced in Mladá Boleslav was the Voiturette A, a small, lightweight and affordable car, of which the company produced about a hundred vehicles.
