Microcar has developed a new chargeable electric car, called the ZENN (zero emission no noise), to offer an alternative to the urban motorist.

Manufactured in France and developed in partnership with Canada’s Feel Good Cars, it will go on sale in the UK in both two and four seater versions and avoids the London congestion charge.

The ZENN has a 60 mile range and can be charged up at a three pin mains socket power supply. It features regenerative braking and a lithium ion battery.

The ZENN will be distributed through 60 dealerships in the UK. The range includes EFi petrol models in both two and four seat versions that offer fuel efficiencies of 60 plus mpg. On-the-road prices start at £6,495 and Microcar expect to have the ZENN on sale within the month.
