Birmingham-based Lucas Electrical has been re-appointed by FPS Automotive Parts Distribution to supply its Lucas batteries programme to the independent motor factor sector.

Based in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, FPS holds more than £20m-worth of stock and in excess of 70,000 stock lines, located at 19 distribution points across the UK.

Sales Manager at Lucas Electrical, Lawrence Keen says: “This appointment by FPS is an important endorsement of the quality, value and technical excellence of the Lucas brand and a major step in our future plans. It will also make a real practical difference to many motor factors. The deal ensures that they can now have convenient access to an even wider range of Lucas batteries, with a quick and reliable turn-round.”

Lucas was first appointed as FPS battery supplier in 2000.

In addition to Lucas, its brand portfolio includes Federal Mogul, Delphi, TRW, Fram, Sachs Boge, Knorr Bremse, Wabco, XL, First Line, Gates, Blue Print and LUK.
