Woolworths has teamed up with FreewayCars, part of the Bank of Scotland, to sell cars online.

The high-street retailer normally associated with pick and mix is already offering a Nissan Almera 1.5 S5 at £3,631 less than Nissan's price of £11,200. It is also offering a Hyundai Coupe at £16,796, £4,636 below the manufacturer's price.

A spokesperson said: “People may not expect to find Woolies selling cars, but our multi-channel offer is expanding at a rapid pace and offering many non-traditional Woolworths products at market-beating prices.”
