Called ‘marketing for the disabled’, it has already been made a mandatory course by two manufacturers for their dealer networks.
Colin Bruder, managing director at Network, said: "There is a misconception that selling cars to disabled people is just about Motability but there is much more to the subject than that.
"Many other groups such as blue card holders, war pensioners and disabled service people all receive disability allowances that can be put towards car leasing or purchasing.
"Our course covers how to reach these people, how to find out what benefits they are entitled to, and how to identify the right car to satisfy their transport needs. It is whole market that is often untapped."
