Nanjing Automobile is looking for an advertising agency ahead to help support the launch of its MG-branded cars across Europe in July.

The company, which bought MG Rover in July 2005, is said to be in talks with three agencies, which are pitching for Nanjing’s multi-million pound marketing budget.

Stephen Cox, Nanjing sales and franchise manager, said the company was also looking for a sales and marketing manager to work alongside him.

Cox will not comment on the shortlisted agencies but says: "We’re mainly interested in above-the-line advertising because we’ve got to get our profile out there."
