Fiat Auto is renaming its car and commercial vehicle division Fiat Group Automobiles to cut costs and provide greater differentiation across its four brands: Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Fiat LCV and Lancia.

The name change comes in to effect on February 1. Each existing head of each of Fiat’s brands, Luca De Meo (Fiat), Antonio Baravalle (Alfa Romeo), François Olivier (Lancia) and Franco Miniero (Fiat LCV) will be designated as CEOs of their respective companies.

Despite the name change, no significant personnel or production changes are planned.
