Neil Moscrop has been appointed as Peugeot UK’s sales director after David Brookman, who has been with the company for just under 40 years has retired.

As sales director, Moscrop becomes responsible for all car and van consumer, corporate and direct sales activities in the UK. He has held various roles within the company including national fleet manager, and most recently director of parts and service since joining Peugeot in 1979.

Moscrop was also retail general manager and then an operations manager for Peugeot’s own retail division, Robins & Day, and a regional director for Peugeot in Scotland and the central region.

Moscrop said: “I’m relishing the challenge of leading the UK sales team in 2008. Peugeot has benefited from some great products launched this year, including the new 308, 207 Coupé Cabriolet and 4007 and sales are up on 2006. My job will be to keep this sales momentum going into 2008 and beyond.”

Up until the end of September Peugeot had sold over 119,000 new cars, a 1.9% increase over the same period in 2006. Peugeot’s current UK market share is 6.17%.
