Hair today – gone tomorrow – Rastafarian dreadlocks

In the case of Harris v NKC Automotive it was held that Rastafarianism was a religious belief and therefore a case of discrimination could succeed in certain circumstances.

However, it was held that it did not amount to discrimination if an employer enforced a rule about keeping hair tidy whether the style be dreadlocks or not.
