Experian has confirmed Kirk Fletcher as its permanent managing director for its automotive division following his eight month period as acting MD.

Fletcher took up the interim role after Rob Whalley, the previous incumbent left the company ‘by mutual consent’. Whalley then joined MSX International.

James Barr has also been confirmed as Experian’s sales director and will be in charge the 40-strong sales team. Barr became acting sales director after Fletcher was made acting MD back in April.

Phil Cotter, managing director of Experian’s information solutions division, said: “Both Fletcher and Barr have demonstrated that they have the vision and drive to lead the business in challenging times.

“These appointments will re-enforce our commitment to offering a fully integrated service to our clients in the automotive industry and support our growth strategy going into 2008 and beyond.”
