Epyx has signed seven year deal with Motobility Operations for its 1Link service network e-commerce platform for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will see Motability Operations, the UK's largest car fleet with around 465,000 vehicles, continue to use 1link service network to process all authorisations for service and maintenance work.

The system allows a team of Motability maintenance engineers to process 420,000 transactions every year across 3,500 accredited service providers.

Around 40% of maintenance actions handled through 1link are authorised automatically online and the rest are dealt with by Motability Operations' engineers through the platform in an average time of five minutes.

Motability has been using 1link, produced by Meriden-based Epyx, since January 2003 and was among the first UK fleets to adopt the system.

Ken Trinder, head of business development at epyx, said: "We have a longstanding relationship with Motability Operations and are pleased to see it continue well into the future with the signing of this new contract.”
