General Motors has become the latest manufacturer to grant certification for their Vauxhall and Saab franchise dealer networks to use Pinewood's Pinnacle dealer management system.

The move was confirmed after a testing process carried out by the manufacturer’s Technical Vendor Assistance (TVA) operator CAP Gemini.

Pinnacle provides Vauxhall and Saab uses with full integration into the GM systems including: parts order entry, parts order acknowledgement, Rapier parts replenishment, web parts locator, trade club, EPC3, warranty claims, warranty acknowledgements, warranty corrections, TIS2000, vehicle order acknowledgements and Trackerpac (BPI).

Neville Briggs, Pinewood managing director, said: “The certification is only part of the story, additional interfaces will be introduced as GM release information to us and we will be rolling out the GM Exchange system during 2008.

“To maximise the benefit of this integration we will be contacting all our existing Vauxhall and Saab customers to ensure they are ready to make the most of the latest developments.”

Pinnacle already holds approvals from Peugeot, Land Rover, Jaguar, Ford, Hyundai, Citroen, Honda, Suzuki and Mitsubishi.
