Hyundai enters C-segment at Geneva

Hyundai has said it will reveal its ‘most significant car to date’, the new i30 at the Geneva Motor Show next week.

Following on from its sister brand Kia with its new Cee’d, the Hyundai i30 is designed specifically for the European C-segment.

It will come with a choice of three petrol and three diesel engines, combined with manual or automatic transmission.

The i30’s design is based on Hyundai’s Arnejs concept which was shown at last year’s Paris Motor Show.

The i30 will go on sale across Europe in the summer and will initially only be available as a five-door hatchback. An estate and three door version will follow in 2008.

Full details of the new car will be revealed on March 6.
