Suzuki GB has expressed interest in a customer relationship management (CRM) system called Contact Tracker that is already used in Australia by Mercedes, Mitsubishi and Jeep.

UK agent for the system, Vital Software UK, is to deliver a formal proposal to Suzuki this month.

Vital Software UK managing director Roger Knight says that the software’s ability to interface with dealer management systems (DMS) such as Kerridge is key to its appeal. “Contact Tracker extends the very basic CRM capabilities of DMS systems,’ says Knight.

“The system is also able to set up and report on marketing campaigns,” he adds.

The firm set up in the UK late last year. It also markets a version of Contact Tracker for non-automotive businesses and has already signed up Panasonic as a big-name client.
