Toyota will launch its most powerful Yaris model yet on April 1.

The Yaris SR is powered by a 131bhp 1.8-litre dual VVT-i engine which powers the car from 0-62mph in 9.3 seconds.

Customers will also be able to choose from a 1.3-litre VVT-i petrol and 1.4 D-4D 90 diesel engine from launch.

Standard features include sports-tuned steering and suspension, a full body kit, 17-inch alloy wheels, electric power steering, climate control air conditioning with pollen filter, smart entry and start system, six-speaker audio system with CD player and MP3/WMA file playing function (from disc), a reach and rake-adjustable steering column, electrically adjustable door mirrors and front fog lamps.

The Yaris has received five stars for adult passenger safety and also has vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, driver’s knee airbag all as standard.
