Repanet, the network of leading independent bodyshops is supporting the link between the Audatex AudaEnterprise estimating system and Thatcham’s escribe crash repair methods manuals.

Mark Bull, Repanet UK Co-ordinator explained: “We believe this a responsible move for our members and the industry in general. It is widely recognised that bodyshops need more and quicker access to repair data as vehicle technology and the number of different models increases.

Bringing together Audatex’s widely used estimating system and Thatcham’s extensive methods manual can only be good news.”

The link also helps bodyshops meet a key aspect of the new Thatcham BSI Vehicle Body Repair Kitemark, which Repanet has already publicly supported. Estimators and engineers can access Thatcham repair methods while preparing an estimate, meeting the need for repair data at ‘point of need’, a key requirement of the new Kitemark scheme.

  • Repanet is a network of independent accident repair bodyshops operating across Europe. It currently has 533 repairers in 12 European countries. In the UK there are currently 52 Repanet member bodyshops.
