Smartycars.com searches dealers and manufacturers for the best deals on new, used and leased cars; together with reviews and roads tests and price comparisons on accessories ranging from tyres to parts.
It also has a ‘car configurator’ allowing users to ‘build’ their ideal car.
The site is the brainchild of Bill Smart backed by Scottish-based media company SMG and American ‘car guru’ Sean Tahzib, operations director, and who w as part of the team behind US site CarsDirect.com.
Smart said: “We welcome the challenge offered by the market. smartycars is geared towards buying and running a car in the modern era and is built around how people live their lives. In the last ten years lifestyles have significantly changed and people no longer have the time to be going round garages and looking in individual locations for every service that their car requires.
“We understand drivers want choice and for the first time we will be bringing all that choice under one roof to make buying and running a car as convenient as possible.”
The new venture will also play a vital role for dealers and manufacturers according to Tahzib.
He said: “People are changing how they acquire information and buy a car and with smartycars we are helping car manufacturers and dealers keep pace with this change. We believe we have an important role to play in helping them continue as thriving businesses for the long-term.
“Through the site these key groups will have a more direct, less wasteful method to communicate with potential customers and achieve greater profitability.”
