The no obligation tyre checks will be on behalf of Bridgestone at any of Kwik-Fit’s 670 UK centre, without appointment.
Bridgestone’s initiative “Think before you drive”, which runs from April 23 -29, advises drivers of the four basic steps to improve safety. These are:
David White, customer services director at Kwik-Fit, commented: “People who drive on bald or under pressurised tyres put both their own and other people’s lives at risk, and there is simply no excuse for this. While Global Safety Week is a great initiative to bring this issue to the fore we would urge all motorists to regularly have their car tyres checked – not just during this week.”
He continued: “With over 90% of UK motorists being within a 10 minute drive of a Kwik-Fit centre, we expect to complete a huge number of tyre safety checks in this week.”
John McNaught, managing director of Bridgestone UK, said: “As we enter our third year supporting the Think Before You Drive campaign, we are pleased that Kwik-Fit have come on board to help tyre safety in the UK.
“We are already offering free tyre health checks as part of the campaign and the addition of Kwik-Fit stores will ensure that every UK motorist has access to this free and vital advice.”
