Gilbran, the automotive real estate company, has completed work on the new Truro Mercedes-Benz dealership for City West Country (‘CWC’).

This marks the final stage in a four-site Mercedes-Benz dealer development programme for CWC, which gives the group a total of 72,000 sq ft of space.

Gilbran purchased the sites and developed the showroom and after sales facilities for CWC in Exeter, Taunton, Plymouth and now Truro. All four sites meet Mercedes-Benz’s corporate identity standards.

Gilbran and CWC have entered into a long-term lease agreement for the four sites, which has enabled CWC to expand in to the South-West territory without having to invest its own funds in the site and structures.

Gilbran managing director, Nigel Smith said: “Gilbran’s business model is built on our deep understanding of the motor industry from both the retailers and manufacturers perspective and we aim to provide property finance and development solutions which ensure the premises will meet their operational needs today and in the future on flexible and competitive lease terms,” added Smith.

“The completion of the Truro CWC Mercedes-Benz dealership is an important moment in the evolution of the company and our ambition to transform CityMotors into a £100 million dealer group,” said Mike Wickins, managing director of CWC parent group CityMotors.

“The Truro Mercedes-Benz dealership is an important milestone signifying the final stage in the development of the facilities in the south-west market area. We now have the platform to be able to delight our customers and at the same time allow us to run a profitable business," added Wickins.
