Inchcape has sold its Bentley Newcastle site to JCT600 in a £3 million deal.

The Silverlink Business Park site joins the privately owned dealer group’s other Bentley dealership in Leeds and its 42 franchised outlets throughout the north of England.

John Tordoff, JCT600 chief executive, said: “We already have a well established foothold in the luxury car market in the north east through our Porsche dealership in Newcastle and have been looking to expand in the region for some time.

“Bentley Newcastle gives us the perfect opportunity to consolidate our position in the area while enabling us to maximise the benefits of having two Bentley dealerships in adjoining territories – Yorkshire and the north east.”

Paul Gudge, general manager, and his existing sales and aftersales team have all been retained and the dealership will become part of JCT600’s ‘specialist cars’ division headed by David Clapham.
