Nationwide Accident Repair Services, the provider of automotive crash repair services in the UK, has secured a three year contract with the Environment Agency.

Its Network Services division will provide accident management services to the Environment Agency’s fleet of cars and commercial vehicles.

These services will be provided on a 24-hour basis, through Network Services’ operation in Northwich, Cheshire and will be supported by Nationwide’s IT system, which supports cost control and provides customers with online access to accident damage data.

Michael Wilmshurst, Nationwide chief executive, said: “In mid December last year, we acquired a motor claims management business and have since successfully integrated it within our existing Network Services division. It has helped us to secure this contract with the Environment Agency and we look forward to working with them.

“We intend to continue to develop our Network Services division. It complements our core crash repair business and enables us to provide fleet operators and motor insurers with both crash repair facilities and a full accident management service.”
