Bristol Street Motors has appointed Ian Reddish as general manager of its Chesterfield Vauxhall dealership, which it acquired in May.

Vertu Motors, Bristol Street Motor’s parent company, bought the Blakes businesses in Chesterfield, Worksop and Matlock. These businesses are set to be re-branded as Bristol Street Motors in the coming months.

Reddish used to work for Reg Vardy, having previously been general manager of Doncaster Renault, Sheffield Citroen and Leeds Renault.

Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu Motors and former MD of Reg Vardy, said: “Our aim in Vertu Motors has always been to attract the best motor retail professionals possible to lead our acquired businesses.

“In appointing Reddish, we have achieved this goal and I have no doubt that he will develop the Chesterfield Vauxhall business further and continue its ethos of delivering excellent customer service”.
