Name: Andy Noble
Company: Caterham Cars
Job: Head of Sales
Age: 44

How did you get into the automotive business?
Studied mechanical engineering at university. Completed my degree course and worked for Leyland for a year, and moved to Caterham Cars in 1986.

What does your job entail?
I’m responsible for the UK sales function for Caterham Cars

How will your job change over the next few years?
We really need to keep on top of customer service. If we get that wrong, the rest of the sales process is much harder.

Other jobs?
I had worked previously at Caterham, for 18 years. I then left to run a graphics company, and then MotorSports Vision.

What advice would you give to young people planning to join the industry?
Work hard, be imaginative, believe in yourself and always do what you believe is right.

What’s the worst career move you’ve ever made?
I‘ve never regretted any career move I have made.

And the best?
Coming back to Caterham, it’s in my blood!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
I’d like to be an integral part of the Caterham Cars team that is responsible for the continued growth of the company.
