Pebley Beach, the Suzuki and Hyundai dealer, has announced its intention to become Swindon and the Cotswolds’ first green car dealer.

Dom Threlfall, dealer principal at Pebley Beach Wroughton, said: “As a motor dealer we are especially sensitive to the impact our business has on the environment, so we explored ways in which we could reduce the environmental impact.”

All the electricity for Pebley’s three showrooms now comes from wind or wave power.

“We’ve greatly reduced our reliance on paper. Customers now get service reminders by phone, text or email instead of letter and can now elect to have invoices and receipts by email, rather than printed on paper.

“All our brochures are available to view on our website – www.pebley.co.uk - and any printed material we do produce is on recycled paper using environmentally-friendly vegetable-based inks,” Threlfall.

Pebley also donated a new Suzuki Grand Vitara to the Cotswold Water Park Society to help protect water voles, otters and wetland birds.

The Pebley Beach Group includes Suzuki dealerships in Wroughton and Cirencester, Moonmonkey Marketing Cirencester, Hyundai Swindon and Prestige Paintwork, Swindon.
