Paul Baker and Paul Black were previously aftersales implementation and technical support consultants at ADP Kerridge, producer of the Autoline DMS. Now they’ve formed Baker & Black Consultancy, based in Glasgow and Brighton, to share their expertise with dealers.
Baker said: “From consultation and going live through the hand-holding period is provided by myself, while Paul Black is experienced in dealing with issues after that. We know that many of the problems which customers believe are technical issues do, in fact, arise because they have not been making the most of their DMS. Frequently, the high turnover of staff in dealerships means nobody is trained efficiently in the system.”
The company has developed three services: ‘pre-flight’ audit and recommendation of improvements; ‘launcher’ ad-hoc consultancy through installation, training and launch; and ‘relay’ ongoing consultancy of one or two visits per month.
