Baker Tilly is offering a dedicated service to automotive manufacturers and dealers, which it claims can boost profitability and provide management solutions.

Baker Tilly Automotive Service (BTAS) works by offering a bespoke composite reporting system that allows users to accurately assess the financial performance of dealerships.

“We are aiming to be working with all manufacturers in some respect within the next 18 to 24 months, plus forming very strong links with all the major banks and finance houses,” said Kate Sutherland, spokeswoman for BTAS. “It is our aim to increase our market share in this sector over the next three years and become a market leader throughout the UK and Europe.”

Heading up BTAS are Brian Hawkins and Nick Harman. Hawkins has held various managerial positions at Fiat Auto UK, Chrysler Jeep, Daewoo Cars, BMW and Saab.

Harman has 22 years’ experience in the automotive industry, specialising in business development for manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers.
