Mercedes-Benz of Stevenage has replaced the group’s operation in Hitchin, which closed last week.
Anil Subherwal, sales manager, said: “All members of our experienced Hitchin team have transferred to Mercedes-Benz of Stevenage, where they will be joined by additional staff recruited locally across the business.”
The new site will start trading in Gunnels Wood Road on August 20. The new showroom has room to display 13 new cars, as well as three Smart cars.
Servicing, MoTs and repairs will be conducted in a workshop incorporating 15 ramps and two diagnostic bays.
A special viewing area has also been installed in the customer reception to enable visitors to watch work being undertaken on their car.
Mercedes-Benz of Stevenage is part of the Mercedes-Benz Hertfordshire group operated by parent company L&L Automotive, which also boasts retail outlets in Bishop’s Stortford and Hertford.
