Seat’s first model designed to be driven off-road, the new Altea freetrack 4, will go on sale on October 20 in the UK.

The new all-road model will be available in two versions, a 2.0-litre TSI 198bhp and a 2.0-litre TDI 168bhp, priced at £20,495 and £21,395 respectively.

Standard equipment includes a multimedia system comprising of a roof-mounted 7-inch screen with RCA connection that allows a link to a DVD player, video games, a laptop computer and MP3 player.

Further standard-fit elements on the Altea freetrack 4 include dual zone climate control, rain sensor wipers, parking sensors, cruise control, trip computer, light sensor headlights, and a CD MP3 stereo with steering-wheel mounted controls. Rear door window blinds are also fitted as standard, which are stored within the door when not required. Safety equipment includes ESP, six airbags and a tyre pressure warning system.
