UK car production saw a 10.1% rise in July to 129,935 units, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

Chris Macgowan, SMMT chief executive said the rise continued the underlying trend of stabilisation of car production in the UK.

“Having weathered the storms of new model introductions, a number of key car-makers have increased output and given a renewed edge to passenger car manufacturing in Britain,” said Macgowan.
