Haven Power has recently launched an electric supply service designed for dealers and bodyshops.

Haven only supplies power to small to medium businesses, which it be-lieves gives it an advant-age over multi-national electricity suppliers.

Under its “Smarter Electricity for Business” pledge, Haven provides a two-year fixed price contract and fixed monthly payments based on actual energy consumption.

Stuart Morton, sales and marketing manager for Haven Power, would not reveal how many dealers were signed up to Haven, but said 5% of its customer base consisted of garages.

Morton said: “Prices vary relative to geographical location and type of business, but typically savings can range from 15% to about 50%.”

Each of Haven’s customers is provided with a named person to contact directly by phone if they want any information or need an issue resolving.

Morton encouraged dealers to use Haven’s Smart Meter option when switching to them as a power supplier. The meter is read automatically every month, which Haven believes can give an extra 10% in energy savings.

However, Haven charges an extra monthly fee for the facility.

Quotes can be requested through Haven’s website.

If dealers want to switch, Haven will handle the transfer from the business’s previous supplier. Haven Power is the retail arm of the integrated energy business, Carron Energy, which own Uskmouth power station. Carron Energy generates electricity so Haven does not rely solely on purchasing from other sources.
