The Maidenhead Bridge dealership is set to become a dedicated showroom, which will be supported by a new aftermarket operation on nearby Howarth Road, due to open for business in October.
Tim Attwood, dealer principal, said: “By splitting the service and sales operations in this way we will gain the operating room we require for the foreseeable future.”
Windrush Volkswagen is hiring new technicians to staff the larger servicing site, which has 16 workshop bays, including an MoT facility. There are also 40 parking spaces for customers, who will be able to wait for their cars in a lounge complete with free Wi-Fi, internet access and refreshments.
In Slough, Windrush’s 1.2-acre Farnham Road site is doubling in size to incorporate 18 service bays, the showroom is being extended and customer parking will be increased.
