CI Holdings, owner of fast-fit chain Mr Clutch, is diversifying into car valeting and smart repairs after acquiring Carwash At Work, which went into receivership in November 2006.

CI Holdings has renamed the business Carwash Franchising Ltd and  trades as CarSpa and MoSpa.

CarSpa, which has an exclusive contract with NCP car parks, will offer high-end car valeting.

Two kiosks have already opened in Manchester, with another lined up for Leeds.

Over the next three years, 105 car parks are expected to feature the service.

Its sister brand, MoSpa, will offer the same service targeted at high profile shopping centres and multi-storey car parks.

Kiosks are lined up to open in High Wycombe and Warrington.

Joseph Yussuf, CI Holdings managing director, said: “An average person goes shopping for three hours. That’s plenty of time for car valeting or smart repairs.”
