Thatcham will open its first regional training centre specifically targeting vehicle damage assessment next month.

The new facility will be based at the MIRA (Motor Industry Research Association) campus in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

Jason Moseley, Thatcham’s chief operating officer, said: “With the Thatcham/BSI Kitemark scheme now highlighting the need for fully trained and competent technicians, the demands on our training centres are increasing daily. The new facility will ensure that we can continue to provide the high level of service expected by our customers.”

The centre will be staffed by a permanent team in addition to the current trainers and administration staff based in Berkshire. It covers 370 square metres and has a mezzanine classroom area.

The centre will be open to receive the first delegates during February, course bookings can be made by contacting Thatcham Training on 01635 294806.
