Power-Tec expects to increase its turnover by 20% this year. Managing director Bill Savage said the company would be concentrating on new ideas to grow market share.

Focusing on bodyshop tools only, Savage believes his products are being used by at least 80% of the UK’s 4,000 primary bodyshops.
Last year, turnover was £1 million, and is expected to be £1.2 million in 2008. Savage was unwilling to disclose profit margins.

The company’s salesmen, all from the shopfloor, have a demonstration van which always secures sales on the day, said Savage.

The business is benefiting from technological developments such as aluminium repair equipment.Power-Tec will relaunch its website in spring 2009.
